A 1983 Bas Armagnac from top producer Delord, a historic house founded in the 1930s by the sons of 19th century travelling distiller Prosper Delord.
Armagnac is emerging as the whisky and brandy alternative category of choice for discerning spirits fans, with unbeatable value for money and, in the best Bas Armagnacs like this one, superb complexity and depth of flavour.
This would make a brilliant anniversary or birthday gift for anyone born in 1983 and comes in at a fraction of the price of whiskies from the same vintage.
