🍷 Nathan Kendall – Finger Lakes Dry Riesling
Country: United States | Region: New York
Appellation: Finger Lakes AVA | Grape Variety: 100% Riesling
Style: Still White Wine | Winemaking: Naturally fermented with native yeasts, aged partially in neutral oak barrels for added texture and depth while preserving purity of fruit
Farming: Sourced from sustainably managed vineyards on the slopes surrounding Seneca Lake, where cool-climate conditions and mineral-rich soils shape precision and freshness
🌟 A vibrant and textured Riesling—zesty, pure, and elegantly structured.
👁 In the Glass:
Pale straw with green highlights—crystalline and bright.
👃 On the Nose:
Aromatic and layered. Notes of candied lime and lemon peel unfold alongside green apple, crushed slate, and a hint of fresh ginger. Intriguing and delicately spicy.
👅 On the Palate:
Dry, crisp, and expressive. Sharp citrus acidity cuts through a subtle creaminess, offering balance and energy. The finish is long, linear, and mineral-driven, with a touch of spice lingering on the tongue.
🍽 Food Pairing:
A natural match for sushi, Thai curries, citrus-marinated seafood, or goat cheese salad. Also excellent with roast chicken or pork with apple compote.
⏳ Ageing Potential:
Beautiful now, but will evolve gracefully over 5–8 years, gaining depth and developing classic Riesling petrol notes.
✨ Why You’ll Love It:
This Finger Lakes Riesling is a brilliant reflection of place—electric, nuanced, and handcrafted with care. Nathan Kendall delivers a wine of clarity, charm, and quiet intensity.
