🍷 Domaine Vrignaud – Chablis ‘Les Champreaux’
France | Burgundy | Chablis AOC | Chardonnay
Style: Still White Wine | Mineral and Structured
Winemaking: Fermented and aged in stainless steel to preserve purity and tension, with extended lees ageing to add texture and complexity. A precise and terroir-driven expression from a single vineyard parcel.
Farming: Organically farmed vineyards on the right bank of Chablis, where Kimmeridgian limestone soils and cool northern climates produce wines of clarity, finesse, and mineral depth.
⛏️ A classic Chablis—laser-focused, stony, and beautifully poised.
👁 In the Glass:
Pale straw with green reflections—brilliant and crystalline.
👃 On the Nose:
Clean and refined. Aromas of green apple, lemon zest, and white flowers unfold alongside hints of crushed oyster shell and flint.
👅 On the Palate:
Precise and elegant. Crisp citrus and orchard fruit glide over a firm mineral backbone, with racy acidity and subtle lees texture adding structure. The finish is long, chalky, and beautifully saline.
🍽 Food Pairing:
Perfect with oysters, grilled white fish, goat cheese, or lemon herb chicken. A wine that thrives with seafood and light, refined dishes.
⏳ Ageing Potential:
Drink now for purity or cellar for 5–7 years to gain additional depth and complexity.
✨ Why You’ll Love It:
‘Les Champreaux’ is Chablis at its finest—pure, mineral, and full of quiet power. A beautifully crafted Chardonnay that captures the soul of its limestone-rich terroir.
