🍷 Michael Hall Wines – Roussanne
Australia | Barossa Valley | 100% Roussanne
Style: Still White Wine | Winemaking: Hand-harvested and gently pressed, fermented with native yeasts in seasoned oak barrels, followed by lees ageing to enhance texture, complexity, and natural character
Farming: From carefully selected Barossa Valley vineyards, where warm days and cool nights allow Roussanne to ripen slowly, retaining freshness while developing depth and aromatic intrigue
🌾 A textured and elegant white—golden, savoury, and richly expressive.
👁 In the Glass:
Golden straw with a soft, radiant glow—inviting and refined.
👃 On the Nose:
Intricate and aromatic. Notes of ripe pear, honeyed stone fruit, and chamomile mingle with hints of almond, citrus peel, and a gentle touch of wild herbs.
👅 On the Palate:
Layered and supple. A creamy texture supports flavours of baked apple, lemon curd, and nectarine, balanced by fresh acidity and subtle oak spice. The finish is long, savoury, and beautifully poised.
🍽 Food Pairing:
Perfect with roast chicken, seafood in saffron sauce, butternut squash risotto, or aged cheeses. A wine for nuanced, flavourful dishes.
⏳ Ageing Potential:
Drinking beautifully now, with the potential to age gracefully for 5–7 years, gaining nutty, honeyed complexity.
✨ Why You’ll Love It:
Michael Hall’s Roussanne is a rare and sophisticated white—textural, gently aromatic, and quietly complex. A beautifully crafted expression that showcases the finesse of Rhône varieties in Australian terroir.
